Finesse rods are great for nymph, small buggers, and dry fly fishing. The rod excels in stream and creek settings where 20 feet is a long cast.

This is a softer, slower rod for throwing dry flies with a subtle presentation. The soft action enables use of very small leaders and tippet. This is an excellent stream rod where you want shorter, quiet casts. The Finesse has the feel of the old fiberglass rods, but is much lighter and more sensitive. This is an excellent rod for less experienced casters as the slow action will allow you to feel the rod load.

Finesse rods offer a more "traditional" taper and action for those who fish small flies and fine tippets on light lines. These are ideal rods for meadow steams, limestone creeks and spring creeks.
